Lost & Found
Several items were left at the park after tryouts on Saturday.  Please check the Lost & Found page to see if your missing item has been found!

Electronic Bulletin Board
Are you looking for a gently used bat?  Perhaps your daughter is moving up and you have a bat or two that you would like to sell?  We now have an Electronic Bulletin Board on our site - a great way to connect the sellers & buyers of gently used softball equipment.  Click here for more information or to submit an item for sale or purchase.

Softball Batting Lessons
Coach Eddie Sessum, Head Coach of the Missouri City Magic - Gold, is offering private and semi-private batting lessons at George Park on Tuesday evenings.   Prices are $40 for a private 45-minute session, or $60 for an hour-long 2-girl session.
Please contact LaKecia (713-210-9822) to schedule.

Softball Food For Thought

A mother was making a batch of scrambled eggs for her teenage daughter.  Suddenly, the girl bursts into the kitchen and screams,

"CAREFUL! CAREFUL!  Put in some more butter!
Oh my goodness, you're cooking too many at once.
TOO MANY!  Turn them! TURN THEM NOW!
We need more butter.
Oh my, where are we going to get more butter?
They're going to STICK!  Careful...CAREFUL!!!
I said be CAREFUL!

You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking!
NEVER!  Turn them!  Hurry up!
Are you CRAZY?  Have you LOST your mind?

Don't forget to salt them.  You know you always forget to salt them.
Use the salt.  USE THE SALT!  THE SALT!"

The mother stared at her daughter and said,
"What's wrong with you?
You think I don't know how to scramble a couple of eggs?"

The daughter calmly replied,
"I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm trying to play softball."

Ouch....

Wild Hogs - No Kidding!
You have probably noticed the areas of grass which have been torn up around George Park.  The culprits are wild hogs!  The City of Richmond has installed corral traps near the concession stand to trap the hogs.  Parents, please keep your children away from the traps!  They may look exciting and fun to climb, but the traps can be very dangerous.
DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN PLAY ON OR NEAR THE TRAPS.
